SteelEye Technology CTO James Bottomley Elected to Board of Open Source Development Labs

Open source luminary serves as bridge to development community

PALO ALTO, CA-February 28, 2006 - SteelEye Technology, Inc., the leading provider of award-winning data and application availability management solutions for business continuity and disaster recovery on Linux and Windows, announced that its Chief Technology Officer, Dr. James Bottomley, has been elected to the board of directors for the Open Source Development Labs (OSDL), a global consortium dedicated to accelerating the adoption of Linux®.

Bottomley joins an OSDL board led by Chair Ross Mauri of IBM and fellow board members Richard Wirt of Intel; Kazuhiro Ooki of NEC; Masahiro Date of Fujitsu; Keiichiro Nakanishi from Hitachi; Steve Geary of Hewlett-Packard; Markus Rex of Novell; Larry Augustin from VA Software; Jerry Greenberg of G. S. Greenberg Associates; Frank Fanzilli of Fanzilli-Bauer Technology Partners; and Stuart Cohen, CEO of OSDL.
