SteelEye Announces SteelEye Protection Suite for IBM Director 5.1
Free download expands application-focused high availability solution to include protection for leading server management environment
Palo Alto, CA - February 6, 2006 - SteelEye Technology Inc., a leading innovator in data and application availability management for Linux and Windows, today announced that it has added monitoring and recovery capability for IBM Director 5.1 to the long list of application environments which it supports.
The SteelEye Protection Suite for IBM Director 5.1 provides all of the components needed to build a cluster of servers running IBM Director to protect against unplanned outages and to perform manual switchover which eliminates downtime due to planned maintenance. The suite includes monitoring and recovery of IBM Director processes, the operating system, the server hardware and the built-in Derby database. Users can deploy configurations using either shared or replicated data depending on specific needs. This initial release supports Windows 2000 and Windows 2003 platforms.
SteelEye is making the SteelEye Protection Suite for IBM Director 5.1 immediately available for free download from its website.
