MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA - November 7, 2000 - SteelEye™ Technology, Inc., a leading provider of reliability platforms for eBusiness applications, announced today a strategic reseller agreement with CONNECT Computer Corp. (CONNECTcomputer.com), a full service provider of server-based/thin-client network solutions and applications integration and hosting. CONNECT will resell and market SteelEye's industry leading high availability (HA) clustering software, LifeKeeper® for Linux, to eBusiness customers requiring the highest standards of availability, reliability and performance for their business-critical systems, data and applications on Linux.

"LifeKeeper for Linux from SteelEye brings availability to the Linux platform that enables companies to confidently run and maintain their applications on Linux," said Dan Delventhal, CEO of CONNECT. "We wanted a superior solution for enterprise-grade HA clustering for Linux with reliability and technical merit from a company we could trust to ensure results and total satisfaction. With SteelEye's LifeKeeper for Linux, we knew we had a winner."

With over 15 years experience as a business-to-business IT integrator, CONNECT provides server-based/thin-client networks for small to medium-sized companies. Through its partnership with SteelEye, CONNECT can offer eBusiness customers the optimum balance of availability and affordability, making continuous operations possible with a low total cost of ownership.

"CONNECT is one of our key reseller partners and we are very excited about the benefits of this alliance," said Jim Fitzgerald, president and CEO of SteelEye. "With LifeKeeper for Linux, CONNECT can offer customers a scalable, economical solution for protecting their business-critical environments, with assurance of global availability and support.''

SteelEye's LifeKeeper for Linux maximizes the high availability of clustered Linux systems and applications by monitoring system and application health, maintaining client accessibility and providing uninterrupted data access regardless of where clients reside-on the corporate intranet, extranet or Internet. LifeKeeper utilizes industry-proven technology to automatically restore application services by either restarting them locally or relocating them to another server in the cluster. This functionality helps LifeKeeper users to eliminate risks associated with a single point of failure and allows Linux systems to meet the stringent availability requirements of mission-critical operations by creating a fault resilient environment.
