Nobuo Kita
President and Chief Executive Officer
Nobuo Kita is also the president and CEO of SIOS Technology, Inc., the parent company of SteelEye Technology. SIOS Technology, headquartered in Tokyo, is an IT infrastructure and web application software development company and a leader in open source software. SIOS Technology went public in 2004 and its stock is traded on the Tokyo Stock Exchange. Nobuo is also on the board of directors and is the founder of Mozilla Japan, an affiliate of Mozilla Foundation/Mozilla Corp., the world’s most successful open source software development organization. Scott Armour
Chief Operating Officer
Armour is responsible for day to day operations for SteelEye and comes from a strong sales and operations background with enterprise software companies. He began his career at IBM, where he spent more than 16 years in various sales and operational functions, including running enterprise sales and operations within IBM's $7 billion Americas Software business. Armour also led sales and field operations for BEA, Sun Microsystems and has also enjoyed success with early stage software companies including roles running Americas operations for Sphera, and was Sr. Vice President of Business Operations for Aduva. Under his leadership, Aduva rapidly grew revenues and captured Fortune 500 accounts leading to their acquisition by Sun Microsystems. Scott holds a B.S. Degree in mathematics from the
University of California at Irvine.
Jim Kaskade
General Manager and Chief of Cloud
Jim Kaskade, GM and Chief Of Cloud. Mr. Kaskade is responsible for the global cloud business of SIOS Technology (SteelEye's parent company). He is most recently known for having founded and led a digital media SaaS company servicing over 10,000 enterprises including recognized giants such as Lucasfilm, SonyBMG, NBA, Viacom, and News Corp. Mr. Kaskade is a business leader having spent over a decade in the data center with the largest data warehousing installations in the world working for companies including NCR, AT&T, and Teradata. He has also spent a decade as a CEO leading several Silicon Valley backed startups.
Surendra Reddy
Chief Technology Officer
Reddy is most recently known for his position as vice president of Yahoo!'s cloud computing and virtualization business unit. Working in close coordination with senior executive teams and architects, Reddy developed Yahoo!'s organization-wide cloud computing strategy. Reddy is a technology leader in data center architecture, implementation and operational strategies who began his career in Silicon Valley working on data center server consolidation and grid computing solutions for such Fortune 500 enterprises as Oracle and later as a co-founder of Optena Corp. He also architected and delivered a cloud-based supply chain platform at Mitrix.
Bob Williamson
Executive Vice President, Product Management and Business Development
Bob joined SteelEye as vice president of engineering to lead its product research, development and delivery process. Bob comes to SteelEye with over 20 years of experience in software, technology, and high-availability related projects on both UNIX and Windows NT platforms, with a more recent emphasis on Linux. Recently, Bob has expanded his areas of responsibility to include Product Management and Product Marketing. Prior to joining SteelEye, Bob managed numerous projects during his 18 years tenure at NCR Corporation in the communications, performance, high availability, and e-Commerce areas. Bob holds an MS in Computer Science from the University of South Carolina.
John Barnett
Vice President Professional Services
Barnett has a long history of building professional services practices from concept. His most recent position was at Quest Software where he was vice president of Professional Services running the company's U.S. practice, including a 65-person team of regional directors, practice managers, PS salespeople, architects, consultants, trainers and operations personnel, as well as 200 subcontractors. Products he supervised and managed included application management, database management with HA/DR and backup and recovery, windows solutions with AD DR, and virtualization management with Vizioncore products.
Nella Bishop
Vice President of Engineering
Nella leads SteelEye's Product Development and Customer Support teams defining process, managing resources, and delivering solutions. She supports and is an active practitioner of Agile Software Development processes, specifically Scrum. With 13 years of experience prior to joining SteelEye, Nella has filled both engineering development roles as well as management roles focusing teams on the timely delivery of high quality software products in the telecommunications and high-tech sectors. Nella holds a BA in Mathematics from Columbia College and a MS in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology.
Greg Ewald
Vice President, Marketing
Greg has more than 20 years of international sales, channel/product marketing and business development experience in the domains of systems, enterprise application and security software. Most recently he directed marketing activities at Sana Security a developer of behavior-based anti-malware software. Prior to that Greg was Director of Product Marketing at Phoenix Technologies with line of business responsibilities for Phoenix Embedded firmware. Greg has held Business Development and OEM sales positions at Openwave, Intraware, Novell and Digital Research managing and maintaining account relationships with a broad range of technology companies including IBM, Hewlett-Packard and Dell.
